Safety Rules

1. Cars must have full hood and radiator hoses must be covered with the exception of a hole for the air cleaner.
2. Fire suits and approved helmets (2000 Snell or older and SA rating) are mandatory.
3. Flame resistant underwear and neck brace recommended, shoes and gloves are mandatory.
4. Roll bar padding is mandatory on any bar that head, legs, and arms may hit.
5. Arm restraints and/or window net in driver's window are mandatory.
***30 X 90 drivers must wear arm restraints***
6. Overhead V-8 and 6 cylinder engines must use a blow-proof bell housing if any part of bell housing is behind firewall. ALUMINUM BELL HOUSING IS NOT PERMITTED.
7. All cars must have a 2 1/2 lb. charge weight fire extinguisher, which is fully charged and accessible to the driver.
8. Shoulder harness and seat belts cannot be over five (5) years old.
9. Fuel tank must be securely mounted. Fuel cells are encouraged.
10. Cars must have oil pressure shut-off switch for electrical fuel pump.
11. Cars must be equipped with complete metal firewall between the engine, fuel tank and driver. No oversized unnecessary holes.
12. Open drive shaft cars must have a safety loop at front half of drive shaft and a steel plate under seat if drive shaft runs below seat. Drive shaft must be painted white.
13. Kill switch must be accessible for driver and painted flourescent red and labeled.
14. Cars must have a fuel shut-off in cockpit and painted flourecent red and labeled.
15. Exhaust must extend past driver if under car or outside frame rails. Exhaust pipes exiting above the frame rail must face down or back.
16. Cars must be equppied with padded headrest.
17. Roll cage must be steel or chrome molly pipe and cannot be less than 1.5" O.D. and gussets must be used.
18. At least 3 bars 1.5" O.D. must be included in roll cages. Rub rail can be counted as a door if rub rail is 1.5" O.D. or larger.
19. Cars must have reinforced running boards or rub rails.
20. Front bumep cannot extend past inside edge of tires. No wedge bumpers.
21. Rear bumper must extend dbeyond the center of and not past the outside edge of tire.
22. Fan MUST have a protective shroud.
23. Wire screen, Plexiglas, or Lexon glass must be used as a windshield.
24. Driver's compartments must have complete floor under driver's feet and under seat.
25. Driver's seat must be bolted or welded to frame or roll cage. Aluminum seat is recommended.
26. Battery must be covered and securely mounted to protect driver and fuel tank. Battery box is recommended.
27. Brakes required on all 4 wheels in working order. No shut-off valves.
28. Must have safety hub or skid plate on right front unless frame cradles axles.
29. Track safety rules supercede our safety rules.
30. All drivers must be able to get in and out of the car on his/her own power.
