FRED THOMPSON AND PAUL BACCHUS
 SCORE AT HILL VALLEY OPENER

Fred Thompson of Cherrytown, Pa., and crew performed a
marathon this past week to finish a ground-up restoration on
his 36 Pontiac coupe, and went on to win the Sportsman segment. Ed Cutshall finished second in his old school 39
Chevy coupe, third, Robert Williamson in his Richard Petty
clone. Forth went to Shawn Yoder, committing himself and his
excellent 30X90 bug to running all the tracks for the point
championship this season.

Paul Bacchus of Valencia, Pa., just barely squeaked a
modified win in his 40 Chevy coupe, as Lloyd Hockenberry
reeled him in at the white flag and finished on Bacchus'
rear bumper, Larry Felty also challenged Hockenberry and
Bacchus driving a super sportsman, but had to settle for
third. Rick Pastor battled a stubborn oil pump.
Heats to Thompson and Bacchus. Amanda Coghill started
driver points and set the lineup
MANY THANKS to Trish & Tom at Hill Valley for our
