We are the Penn-Mar Vintage Race Car Club Inc, the club is based out of Mechanicsburg, PA. We were founded in 1984, the club was originally called Vintage Stock Car Club Inc. In 2000, the name changed to what it is now. Currently we have members from Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, New York, and Pennsylvania.
The club has two classes; a sportsman class and a modified class. Each class runs a heat and a feature, at each race, unless otherwise noted on the schedule; a participant receives show points, points for starting the heat and the feature, as well as points for finishing position in both events. At the end of each season, we have an awards banquet where we recongnize every participant. The champions from each class receive trophies.
We currently have events at six dirt tracks; Susquehanna Speedway in Newberrytown, PA, Hill Valley Speedway in Orbisonia, PA, Hesston Speedway in Hesston, PA, Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA, Trail-Way Speedway in Hanover, PA, and new for 2010 we are traveling to the Potomac Speedway in Potomac, MD.
